THE STORY:
Sometimes dreams DO come true...
and sometimes...
so do nightmares...
The conscious and subconscious are about to collide...
A battle has begun between the dream world and the waking world... on one side: an army of nightmares... on our side: two teenagers... one real, one unreal.
"Knight-Mare," the horrible overlord of the nightmare realm, has begun a fierce and relentless campaign to expand his kingdom by invading our world with a horde of terrifying specters.
In an attempt to thwart this siege, Rem - a Nightmare Hunter created by 13-year-old Luci Katsuda to protect her in the dreamworld - has entered our reality and teamed up with Luci to stave off the attacks from the nightmare realm. Meanwhile, in the interest of assimillating to everyday life, Luci serves as Rem's "guardian human" in this strange new environment called "reality".
But nightmares are crafty... they can shapeshift, manipulate and move among humans with great ease... like psychic vampires, they suck humans dry of their imagination (the most powerful force of all to dream-creatures since it can both create and control them) leaving the victim in a zombie-like state called “sleepwalking” until the nightmare who drained them is defeated.
Rem and Luci are armed with only two things... Rem's "Morpheus Staff" - a rod with a spheroid at the top that can be used as a weapon that weakens nightmares, and Luci’s “dreamcatcher” - a small, handmade circular “net” that traps bad dreams and sends them back to the nightmare realm.
